The brass and plated steel chain will oxidize over time with exposure to oxygen and moisture, thus darkening the color of the metal. To prevent exessive oxidation, gently buff this headpiece with a microfiber cloth after each wear to prevent to buildup of oil and dirt. Store in a cool, dry, and dark place when not in use. Your order of this headdress will include a foam head mannequin for the safe storage of this piece.
